“No plan survives first contact with the enemy.” This common paraphrasing of Helmuth von Moltke applies as much to life and career as it does military affairs. One of the benefits of life taking unexpected turns is the opportunity to build and combine different skills.
Recently I decided to return to my childhood love of coding and, after attending the Actualize coding bootcamp and doing two stints as a TA, have built up a strong set of technical skills including Ruby, Javascript, Vue.js, React, postgreSQL, HTML/CSS, and overall website development. I combine that with exceptional writing and communication skills, extensive experience dealing with clients, and an understanding of financial and business needs.
I am a passionate believer in life-long learning. In addition to being an honors graduate of Duke University, I completed the three year programs for both the Chartered FInancial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician programs and am a voracious reader and consumer of podcasts spanning a wide variety of genres.
